NYC-based CID is undoubtedly one of the hardest working artists in dance music – rated by just about everyone from Lee Foss, Fisher, MK, Diplo, Sonny Fodera, Steve Angello and Kaskade as one of the best producers in the game.
He’s one of the highest selling artists on Beatport, has two GRAMMY nominations and hundreds of millions of streams to his name, and has toured the world, performing at the biggest events on the planet. As a DJ CID has toured the world and performed at just about every major festival you can think of including Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Circus, Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland.
Starting his journey watching a local DJ spin at his dad’s restaurant, by age 11 he’d decided he wanted to learn how to mix. Regular trips to Mainline Records taught him to carefully select each vinyl purchase, hand picking music became second nature while CID was still in college.
An internship at a professional recording studio led to CID partnering up with Greg Bahary (Hott 22). Together they worked on remixes for some of the biggest names around and before long CID began to catch the attention of more artists, including Cedric Gervais who enlisted his skills on the GRAMMY winning remix of Lana Del Ray’s ‘Summertime Sadness.’
Meanwhile, CID’s own artist project had picked up steam. A release on Arkade led to a pivotal career moment for CID, performing alongside Kaskade at every show on his album tour. Soon CID was booked for shows every week and he quickly decided to focus his production skills on making club-shaking tracks that he and the most respected DJs in the game would want to play, week in week out.
CID’s work ethic and incredible skills as a producer secured him releases on the biggest dance music labels around. Most recently, releases on Solotoko, Catch & Release, Repopulate Mars, and his own Night Service Only label have cemented him as a Beatport chart topper and one of the most credible house music artists in the scene. While his remix of “Audio” by Labrinth, Sia & Diplo (LSD) secured him a second GRAMMY nomination.
CID’s talent for writing and producing incredible music, spinning hand-picked records that crowds need to hear and his hunger to constantly evolve as an artist mean that he will be at the top of the dance music scene for decades to come.
